Those are 4" zip ties. Got them at Home Depot. The contianer has several sizes, but I use the smallest for the chickens. Easy to put on, easy to clip off as they grow. We've changed them once already. The ones I got came with four colors, so with only 3 breeds and no more than four of each, they worked well.
