Beautiful! What variety of breeds?
I have RIR, Plymouth Rock and is a Golden Spangled Hamburg.
These are the very first eggs we've gotten since I started raising chickens again.
Brown eggs = White Laced Wyandottes
Green eggs = Americaunas
White Eggs = Acona
I'd really like to get some chickens that lay pink, blue, and olive eggs.
What a lovely collection you have!
My rhode island reds lay pink eggs
That's interesting. The books say RIRs lay brown eggs. I guess it might be hit or miss. I had Production Reds before, and they laid brown eggs.
Here's what's in my fridge.
The spotted egg on top actually has a purple tinge to it and the spots look more purple than brown.
I have all hatchery EEs, Wellies and SLWs.
An assortment of eggs that went into my incubator
A mix of marans, leghorn, ameraucana, welsummer, orpington, EE, barred rock, etc. A few mutts were involved.
Your welsummers are almost as dark as my black copper marans eggs. Nice!
