The fourth one to pip lastnight is a little bit further along-not much though. But, I can tell it is still alive.

how long does pipping typically take?

And I have one egg that just keeps moving a bit with no pips that I can see. What do I do? I know I'm not supposed to open the bator but it's so tempting?!?!?!?!?!

Stevida-SIT ON YOUR HANDS!!!! Pipping and then into zipping can go fast or they can sit at a pip for 24 hours and I guess sometimes longer. I have one that pipped last night that is still at pip. You don't want to rush them and have them bleed out if the blood veins haven't died back. They also need to finish absorbing the yolk. The eggs that are moving and not pipping are okay. The chicks are alive and moving in the shell. They aren't ready to come out yet.

Waiting is the hardest part! Good hatching vibes coming your way!

this is my first time - worse than childbirth.... and it's to hot to do anything to keep me busy but watch the eggs.....

Oh, Farmer Kitty....they are soooooooo cute!!!! It is amazing how rough they get with the other eggs, isn't it!!! I swear, my first one this time (Lola) was trying to play kick ball with the other eggs!!!

One has to wonder, don't they!

I'm still waiting for the one that was pipped lastnight. It has a hole the size of a nickel so we can see it moving.
