Maybe (if it's not too late) you could work on getting some great "art" photos of him/them. That way they would be memorialized before they make the ultimate sacrifice

Also, I like to make notecards with my farm photos, and that would be a great use for the pictures.
Just some suggestions. Do you know a professional photographer? They might like the opportunity to take some artsy shots. They are gorgeous birds.
