Picture Of The Week (POW) Information & Submissions

No amount of telling these two to knock it off has any effect. Effie, our Polish, just keeps attacking Thors (Jersey Giant) and I don't have the facilities to keep them separated forever.

(If anybody in the greater Philadelphia area that wants a little polish roo, DM me. Effie is not going to win this one.)
Silly boys I have a similar issue here with my Polish Roo and his son. Silly boys have to be separated now.

I hope you find a solution for your lovely boy.

Thank you.

Everybody free ranges together during the day. Normally it wouldn't be an issue to separate them, but we had such staggered hatches this year, and we're building a new coop, so the places that I could have isolated are either occupied or serving double duty.

We have 3 1-month old chicks, 5 2-month old chicks, and 5 4-month olds (our current gladiators) plus the main flock. And I have a hen in our isolation crate on antibiotics at the moment too.

it'll be an adventure in two more months, because four of the five 2-month-olds are boys.

My little bro and our roo Smokey 🐓. Smokey is a rescue. As a baby his leg was crushed and needed to be amputated. He had a horrible infection and vets told us he would never make it to adulthood. Here he is one year and 3 days later 🥰🐓.
Such a big beautiful roo! How does he walk around without irritating his leg stump?

“Good morning, CombNWattles!
…or should we say, good afternoon…” 🫣🤭
The ladies(left to right): Raven, Lacy, Pidge, and Dilly.
Congrats for POW, and congrats to Raven, Lacy, Pidge and Dilly. I’m sure they deserve special treats for the start of their modelling career.

He hops but when he needs a break he bends his stump leg and rests on it like a crutch. That was one of the problems. We didn't know how he was gonna walk but he is a strong booger and found a way
