What kind of bird is this? She looks just like two of mine

She’s a sapphire gem. See the little bits of gold in her neck? That can be a signature sapphire gem trait. Let’s see yours! Is one of them named Pepper? I feel like that’s mandatory for sapphire gems lol

Wow she is stunning! Elvis seems like a fitting name somehow she has such a nice comb. I swear Pepper missed the line for combs that stand up when they were being handed out. Hers is like a floppy sun hat lol

Edit to add, also look at Elvis’s fine lacing! It’s gorgeous!

Meet Suzy Q. She's a Sapphire Gem that doubles as a hood ornament on the garden tractor. She like to come up and see if I have a treat for her and comes running when she hears me coming her way.

Thank you so much! Elvis might be my favorite. She’s the most gluttonous and the reason I had to move my bird feeder (out of sight) to inside their fence so she would stop jumping it to gorge on suet droppings. She also scared the hell out of me one day and completely disappeared, we searched and searched even sent the (apparently useless) dogs to look for her and I was feeling distraught thinking something got her.. all of a sudden I hear a “click cluuuck” and she came strolling up behind me like no big deal. I could’ve strangled her.
