I am buying a broody hen on Sunday, who is driving my friend insane. I’m scared that if I give her eggs, she will stop incubating for the Winter before they hatch. So I’m going to try to buy as many chicks as I can fit under her, keep them in the brooder, and give them to her as soon as I get her settled in her new home!
I’ll let you guys know what happens!

Slide the chicks under the broody after dark. I've done that four times in the last two years...worked with 3 different hens!
