Aww I love that book. Thats where Jemima duck got her name from

Josie is lovely I agree but Lacey is gorgeous.

My ducks were in two groups for years. When I finally got them to all go in the same coop at night they come togeather. Now I have one big group. Lacey sleeps with the chickens doesn't she? That might be why she considers herself different from the other ducks and doesn't want to be friends.

Thanks! Lacey doesn't sleep with the hens anymore. Don't know where she sleeps now. Went up last night after a day a way and the big ducks and Daffy were in a pond together. Lacey was no where to be found. She was perfectly fine this morning though. Don't know where she hides on a night, but at least she's hiding and not running around the field all night like the big ducks!

PICS FROM THE OTHER DAY. Couldn't post these the other day as I had to send my phone to be fixed. Was starting to flood here the other day! Hens weren't happy but the ducks didn't mind. I'm just glad they were smart enough not to go in the big stream! Isn't like this anymore though, it's been snow since then!

Have to bend down on the floor and reach in through the duck shed pop hole to get their eggs. Have to take a pic first incase there's something other than eggs in the nest!

Looks like you got a lot of rain. Next week we are suppose to have 5 days straight in a row of rain. My yard will look like the first pic except for the green we have no green anywhere.

Nice picture of Josie and her sisters. What are the names of all the girls?

I ordered the chickens some forage blend seeds. I am going to plant them under a screen stampled to boards. That way they can only eat the tops but I'm sure they will find a way to pull the grass threw the wire.

Some pics for mothers day. Some of the babies in the pics are the mothers in other pics!

Was that Lacey and Daffy in the pics? These are all precious. Love the babies with their mothers. I've never had a chicken hatch a duck egg but i've had a duck to hatch 2 chicks. The chickens are a lot better mothers then what my ducks were. I did have two mother ducks that combined their babies and those two were good mothers to the ducks. They hatched 16 ducks between the two of them and watched over them all.

So sorry you lost your pics from last month. Maybe you can recover them somehow. The cell phones are a mystery to me. I just like the flip phones that has two options, call and receive because that's about all I can manage.

The picture of Lacey is so funny. Did she trip and fall or just lay down in a bunch of mud. Thanks so much for posting the pics and i love the one too of Bella with her Aunt Daisy. I'm going to eventually learn all these names.
