Picture thread of my hens!

Well I found Lacey ducks nest. It's in the middle of someone else's field. She has 11 eggs in total and was so mad when she realised I followed her back. She went out the back of the nest and ran around and jamp into the back of my legs and she seen me off! I candled 4 eggs, 2 were developing, 2 werent, so shes left with 9 eggs and I'll see what comes out!

I"m glad you found Lacy's nest. The little stinker hid it good. Is she going to be safe there in the nest?

Beautiful pics of the hens and the stream with the ducks. Is that my Bella in the last pic? She is gorgeous.

Thanks so much for sharing the pics with us and remember to save a little white duck from Lacy's hatch for me.

Have a great day.
Just as safe as she would be not sitting. The ducks don't come in on a night, so they're not shut in with the hens when the door timer goes down. Lacey ad Daffy used to sleep in the shed but stopped for some reason. And thank you! and yes it is Bella in the last pic!
There is always so much going on with your flock! I love the shot of Lacey screaming in the snow! It was also wonderful to see the two year update of hen and chick.
I know, tell me about it! I posted a video on a Facebook page yesterday of Bella starting on the bully hen Obarma and then Obarama beat her up haha. But cant post videos on here so I have to miss some stuff out!!

Beautiful pics and the countryside is just amazing. They are so lucky to have so much space to graze. Love the dog he looks very happy with the sunshine too he is almost smiling. Thanks so much for sharing your pics with us.

Have a great day.

And they wonder why I trip over them

Well last night was interesting. I got home at around 12.45 am and I went straight to bed. Next thing I knew, at one o'clock in the morning, someone was throwing cloths and chipping at my bedroom window, so I got up and looked and it was my friend asking if I wanted to go rescue one of the cockerels from the woods as she had been meaning to get him for a while. I decided to go even though it was that time. We went up to the woods, it's around 15 mins from where I live and is in the middle of nowhere with no signal or anything. Anyways, we got there and found where they were perching and got one of the boys. He's actually really lovely, we thought he would run off but he hasn't! You can tell he hasn't seen girls in a while. Going to go get some better pics later today and see if I can find them a home.

No wonder you can't walk without tripping on them.

It looks like they are mobbing you. Do they like you are the feed bucket the most?

It sounds like your getting a rescue group togeather. That rooster probably thinks he died and went to heaven with food and all those girls you have. He's not going anywhere.

The little baby duck is precious and thank you so much for rescueing it from the road. It was so lucky you came along when you did.

Bella and her aunt and mom are precious. I could just sit down and hold Bella for hours. She probably wouldn't like it but I could bribe her with mealworms or corn.

You sure couldn't tell Rosie and Tina are exbattery hens now by looking at them. Their feathers are beautiful.

I love the stone wall in the picture. They sure don't make them anymore like that here. How old are the buildings in the pictures?

Thanks so much for sharing your pictures with us they make my day. Have a great day too.
