Honestly, I believe that is Lily, one of my Jersey Giants ... since they were raised on layer feed and not raised to be meat hens, they hadn't grown overly large, and kt get tough to tell them apart from the Aussies at a glance!Aww!! Haha!!
Is she an australorp?
Wow! Aussies and jersey giants look so much alike! I've been wanting to get jersey giants for awhile now. I might get some if I ever order another batch of chicksHonestly, I believe that is Lily, one of my Jersey Giants ... since they were raised on layer feed and not raised to be meat hens, they hadn't grown overly large, and kt get tough to tell them apart from the Aussies at a glance!
Mine came to me through circumstance, not by choice. They are VERY sweet, being raised on layer feed, they lay surprisingly well, though the eggs are smaller. Every bit as tasty, but smaller. They are PERFECT size to fry Sunnyside up and lay on top of a hamburgerWow! Aussies and jersey giants look so much alike! I've been wanting to get jersey giants for awhile now.
