Most of the pictures I took at Taylor Hill Farm was through fencing, and it was a lot easier shooting through the black coated wire. You can see some pictures have blurred out wire. Last weekend I tried getting pictures at a pheasant breeder's place but the wire was too small to shoot through, and my Cabot's Tragopan photos are ruined. I need to find out if I can do anything to fix that. Yesterday I took some pictures at Hilltop Farms NY, and it was 1" x 1" wire that was black coated, which were helped. It is best to visit Sylvan Heights Bird Park where you can be inside their avairies and get up close with the birds.

Blue creek - pic of the young charcoal that you couldn't Id the pattern might be a young charcoal BS (the pattern itself looks terrible until almost 4). It must also be noted that all the birds labelled cameo split peach is currently just a theory. Until he gets an adult peach male to compare, we are just going by what they look like. Oh ya, and hens cannot carry both colours, she is either cameo or peach.

AWESOME pics though! Send some in to the UPA for their magazine cover.

Thanks for the ID Arbor. I thought that was a Charcoal Blackshoulder but the slight barring confused me. I was just labeling them based on the way they are being bred, and I will actually try breeding peach silver pieds from Taylor Hill Game Farm over a Cameo split White peahen of my breeding to see what happens when breeding the similar sex-linked colors together. Who should I send the pictures to?

I think it was only the Cameo Pied split peach hens that I had labeled them in a confusing way, so I changed that. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.

One error I noticed was the label I quoted -- hens can't be split to Peach.

:)

A bit off topic, but: Thanks for that tip RM, I changed the label on the Image Database.
I hope you'll feel free to let me know if you happen to see any incorrect labeling on the Database, too!

From what I managed to have a peak at new2, it's looking good. I thought I saw a few mislabelled, if I get a chance to go through them, I'll let you know ;)

I had visited Rich Stein's Taylor Hill Game Farm in the springtime and took some pictures while I was there. He has an amazing collection of birds so I tried to do justice to them! He is a great guy with nice, healthy birds. This is taken from the United Peafowl Association website:
In addition to those varieties he has some more. He also raises pheasants such as Grey Peacock Pheasants, Temminck's Tragopans, Impeyans, different colors of Golden Pheasants and more! If you are interested in any of his birds feel free to contact him. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I would like to thank MinxFox for making such a nice watermark and her help with this!

The labels will be done to the best of my ability later today. If you are dying to know a certain one just ask and I will let you know!
