Pictures in reviews?

I'm wanting to make a review for a chicken keeping book, but am worried that the cover picture might be copywrited. I don't have a copy of my own, I just borrowed the book from the library a few months ago. Is it okay to use a picture of the internet if I give credit?

We want to respect copyright as much as possible, in fact, we like to err on the side of caution and suggest peeps only use their own images, or images where there are clear usage rights spelled-out regarding attribution, etc.

I'm not a license expert, but from what I understand, there can be a lot of different copyright / license expectations and requirements that vary from source to source.

So, ya, I'd suggest erring on the side of caution and only use content from sources that clearly state permissions for how their content can be used.

I think if you are reviewing the actual book and not just ripping the picture off to use for something else you are fine. Falls under fair use law.

Now if you were taking the book cover, removing any lettering, and then trying to use it on your own book you are gonna cause issues.

I really wish I knew the answer. I'd hope it would be ok when attribution to the source (like the book / amazon) is given, but I'm just not sure.

What's the book called? Maybe I have a copy of it or @Nabiki has one in her massive book collection.
