This might be a light blue... but maybe it's a lavender because it's washed out. Or a really bad splash...

Here's my bantam blue Cochin pullet, Sophie (and her black roo)...

Ironically I picked out Sophie as a chick because she was blue and I was really in love with the idea of that color, but I ended up really loving the way my two black bantam cochins turned out -their feathers are SO shiny and rich! Sophie's blue is very pretty, but she doesn't have that glossy sheen that the other colors seem to have. Have any other blue owners noticed that?

You're right. The blacks with the green sheen like my Ameraucana boy, Scout, are stunning. They just glow!
