I guess they will be like those children that never get kicked out. Lily can handle the cold, but we have had pretty chill temps and Dash gets so cold, she will jump in your lap and stick her whole body under your coat and all you see is her tail, and shivers. When she finally warms up, you can turn her around and let her peep out, but she has no desire to romp anymore. And thats at 50 degrees! When they are separated, now they scream and cry and carry on and are miserable. so...sigh...whats a momma to do? Even my Fussy got too cold the other day, she was crying so hard, she started wheezing and whimpering, coughing, sneezing and she was crying so hard her nose ran like a lil kids and I thought for sure she was dying on me. So I even told HER I wouldnt make her go out if it was under 35 all day again. And SHE is an ADULT chicken. I guess I am gonna HAVE to look into chicken diapers.
