Hi Guys,
Helping you get your chick fix today

Our broody Cochin (we named her Momma fitting huh?) hatched hers and our first eggs Wednesday

One chick didn't make it, five are doing great and there are still two eggs left which are probably duds, I'll pull them tomorrow.
She is in a dog crate in the corner of the main coop we surrounded it with chicken wore to help keep chicks in and other hens out.
We have seen the chicks eat and drink it is so cool to see them with her.

Here she is with all the babies tucked under her

These are some of our 20 chicks from cackle they are buff orpingtons and easter eggers are about a month old

I know they are so darn cute!

Kasey08, Momma is a Cochin I don't think any of the eggs were even hers lol. They were a mix of eggs from our hens which are Easter Eggers, Buff Orpingtons and Cuckoo Marans. The Daddy is a lovely Easter Egger.

Thanks Catstar68 I think so too. His tail is black but when the sun hits it is looks green. I hope we get some hens with that attribute

Daddy looks amazingly like my Carl! Same "beetle green" tail feathers, too!

oh lol well i was trying to figure out what was the black ones with brown heads i have a bantam like that but idk what it is
