well i have 2 coops one chicken coop and one small bathroom size pigeon coop and my idea was
1)put my breeders in with the chicken coop to breed then put squabs in flyer (pigeon coop) so i can train them. i wanted to do this idea because since my chickens eat cracked corn all day the breeders will need alot of food for there young and them. and on the flyer coop i lwill starve them and do the training and every thing. my question was that how old should the youngster be so i can move it to the flyer coop!!! oh and also can i breed brothers and sisters or they need to have another bird not from there family

Only tumbling and especially rolling performing pigeons are really ever advised to be bred brother to sister down line for too long. also done with show breeds for looks only and to quickly breed and sell (most of time in a nest you get first born being male and second female. homer breeders often breed parents to offspring after assessing performance, to try to enhance, same as tumblers/high fliers.

sorry forgot to put that they are deep roller pigeons DO THEY LOOK LIKE PERFORMERS??

The bald head and feather footed one? Id say look like could be decent to good rollers, just need to fly them in evenings after settle and train to come to you or loft for food on command with whistling or noise they will associate with feed and get excited about before even see feed when getting dim out (because if all else they will return that night for or first time in day or two even for food water, and familar safety of loft. then will do more regularly after. for the one pair starting off feed enough for flight energy but not enough to stuff to start. 1/16 of cup should do, as long as flying. getting ready to breed up to fourth, and up it to half cup after eggs are in nest two weeks, then half cup in morn as well after chicks hatch, as they seem to need it.

Im just starting to train and starting to see results on six new from trade, probly about six months old now, Jensen or pensom strain, fireball like quality compatition and show winner's offspring. I was questioning this as one original hen seemed way to big, showy with much white and light red (dark hard colors always better for some reason seeming over all), and after settling training and letting nest and mate to my best cock stock bird, all for about six months, and she rolled even in loft well, she oriented and flew straight off away from flock kit.. leading me to believe with her looks ect that she had homer blood to close to surface. but she was great performer! The guy who bought and paid top dollar. for at show, bred just for and matched up for colors he liked together, so don't know who has what rolling ability out of them, but one been rolling and doing other stunts, and days in now, today they kitted, and some started just rolling dropping several feet, as well as other stunts.
