Pigeon color ?

So I think the colors of these birds would be black spread (hen) and Ash Red (cock), who is perhaps Check? If that's the case, from them you should expect all ash red spread chicks.

You could get other things based on whether the male is homozygous for ash red or Check, and whether the female is homozygous for spread, or not.

View attachment 1990773 I was wandering what are some possible colors I might get from this pair ? this is the first time I have either of these colors in my loft so I’m anxious to see what I get. Hen left cock on right. I’m hoping to get more like the cock I love his color.
The cock is ash red that is also carrying blue mated to a black hen you should get 1/2 blue cocks and hens- 1/4 ash red cocks carrying blue-1/4 ash red hens.

The surest way to get more like him quickly is to breed an ash red hen to a blue/black cock. Then all the males will be ash reds and the females will be blue.

These are from an ash red hen and a blue pied cock, both males. The red color is just barely starting to show on the wing but the absence of a tail band is evident.:)

X2, yes my ash red cock, carries blue produced one of each in his first clutch with a blue T check hen.:yesss:

Almond apparently works like a variant of ash red. A heterozygous almond cock X a non almond hen should produce 50 % almond cocks and hens and 50 % non almond. A homozygous almond cock would produce 100 % almond young.
