pigeon not laying egg after mated

I have 3 tippler pigeons. One of which couldn't fly but that problem is fixed now. 2 females and 1 male. I witnessed my two pigeons breeding around 10 days ago. I thought they laid 8 days after breeding. Will they still lay?

Yes they do!

the hen was sitting in the nest box and it actually looks like the male is trying to shove the woodchips down into a bowl shape. When the hen sits in the nesting box, the male sits on the edge of it protecting her. BTW, are woodchips okay for pigeons

Chips are OK. If they have a choice pigeon will more likely choose small sticks as nesting material.

I get plastic dog food bowls from the dollar store. It keeps the eggs from rolling out of the box. Can you post a pic of the nest box?

Nesting material is mostly pine needles in this bowl.
