Pigeon Talk

@Fields Mountain Farm - I believe I heard mention of a pleasant pen to be re-purposed as an aviary? I think that would be very nice for birds that need to be captive for a time.
Yes, that's the plan. And I will have a large empty coop with a lrg run available in the barn for them during winter.. the barn is next to the dome, about 20" ish.. so it'll be easier for me if there's snow or ice.. :)

You can bring them in, but they kinda have to get used to it someday or another. Do you ha frozen peas? You could give them a few by popping them in their mouth one by one while they 're still cool, but not frozen solid. Are they sitting together?
They are sitting together and 16 days old so I'm thinking they're having to get used to the heat now that they're pretty heavily feathered. I might try giving them a larger nest bowl but they seem to gravitate towards sitting practically on top of one another.
I can pick up some frozen peas before I go back home and offer them some.

It's funny when you see them like that! It's almost like they are ready to put in the oven!

The peas aren't necessary, but could be helpful. I would only do them if when you get back, it will still be hot.
