trivia fact - Despite only about half my birds have names, almost every bird I have lost was a named bird.
ps - 779 is a good name, I have a hen, #738 that I'm trying to protect by not naming. But 738 has become her name! It's a conundrum!


Thanks, that's kind of what I thought.

Hawks know your favorites. Idk how, but they do! I wonder if anything scientific could come from this. I doubt it, but who knows!

She got seduced by #66's charms and insistance that she have some bowl time!

I think I will. It will be interesting to see what will happen.
@biophiliac What would the most likely result be. A blue check male and an Ash red female. Is the dominant colour from the male? Could a red bar be a possibility?

The red bar, aka silver(very pretty), is possible if both your check parents carry an allele(recessive and thus hidden) for bar pattern and the baby inheirits these unstead of the check 'gene'. Unlikely but pigeons surprise us.

Not really, I expect to learn something from the questions of others. I do worry I'll probably forget!

Little guy started feeding himself way before big brother...

That's him with his head in the feeder right behind mom.

One more of little guy with the macro setting, not that i know how to use it, lol...

Aww! The youngest has learned first I'm guessing to get more food? We're the parents playing 'favorites'? Don't worry if you forget, I'll remind you! Between the two of us, we have this!
