Pigeon Talk

Observational learning and habituation, pigeons are masters!:D

Her disability sounds very, very similar to Doba's. Not able to gain height. Recovery likely to be slow and steady.

Did you make a deal on those squeakers you were looking at? I'll have 2 hand fed babies you could adopt for Rosie.:)

I don't know yet. I've texted back and forth and can go get one for $10 whenever I want but before I decided I wanted to get her a bigger cage. He doesn't have anyone else who wants them so far. He has three white squeakers, a gray squeaker, and a 6 month old white hen. Still not sure I want three in the house and definitely not four, it's fine with two right now but if they all molt at once I'll be doing a LOT of vaccuming. I mean I want more of them, wish I had an outside space to put in an aviary here. But the garden is tiny and half of it is a garage without any windows to even make a loft inside part of it.

You're a bit far away I think. It's going to be too hot to ship for some time.

She must be comfortable. She's laying down out in the open.

About 3 hrs

If certain of gender that would be my choice. So much less drama in a group of hens.

Yeah, but a six month old homer cross will fly back home if it ever got out by accident which is something I'd really have to watch. She'd also already be used to living outside and flying around. Though it's not exactly safe apparently according to the guy...his loft is very small and the babies tend to have to sleep outside it. And owls have eaten some.
