I think Biff acquired a second wife. I assumed the egg in the pen was from his wife Beauty but when we gave him a fake nest a different pigeon started preening him. The pigeons believe any weather above freezing is good bath weather. They keep emptying the small water cup (getting water everywhere) and then picking up the water cup and dropping it. Biff and the new pigeon are cuddling while Beauty pecks his tail feathers with annoyance. Is this because he isn't getting any babies from her now? I won't allow them to hatch in dead winter.
