Pigeon?

Great to hear. Pigeons are a lot of fun to have around, much to everyone's surprise. I hope he converts you

Their noises are soothing and funky.

I'm so upset. He was doing really well, and eating from me and whatnot. Today I went out to feed/water everyone before the weekend (I work 16 hour shifts on Sat/Sun) and I found him dead. He had fallen between the dog crate I had set up for a coop and the chainlink fence. He then appears to have gotten attacked (probably had been struggling to free himself and alerted a predator) and though it seems quick (the only injury is his neck. They went after his artery.) I feel so guilty that I set it up so wrong. That, and I had really gotten fond of him. He'd nuzzle me when I'd feed him and was a pretty smart bird.

Thank you all for your imput. My only consolation is that since he couldn't fly far, and had trouble getting to and staying on branches, he wouldn't have lasted more than a day in my yard. I at least had him for just over a week and he was putting on weight and happy. I just wish it hadn't ended so soon.

RIP Goodfeather

Edit: If I had to lose a bird, why couldn't it have been one of those blasted guineas?!
