We have a barn, so naturally a wild flock of pigeons inhabits it. Right now, my chicks are inside but when they grow up and it's warm enough outside and they move to the barn, what kind of health risk will these pigeons pose?

Thank you for your help.

They could get parasites from the pigeons, but it doesn't mean they will. I imagine there are other things too, but I don't know about them. My chickens chase off pigeons and other non predatory birds that land on the ground.

the chickens should scare away most of the pigeons atleast on the lower level of the floor area! And they will not eat their poop so you shouldn't have to worry, a lot of people have birds in their barns and they make out ok. But if you start seeing your chickens have problems or they die of an unknown reason, then i would see what you can do to change it. Either move them or do something to keep the pigeons out!
