Yes and no. Haha depened on the time and effort you put into it.
If you raise them from a young age then yes they will be tamed. But also some older birds can easily be trained aswell. You teach them to be comfortable to eat from your hand by keeping them a little hungry.
Ill put the link on here of a youtuber that mentions how to tame them. His videos are awesome!
What i like to do is from day one that a pigeon is born i pick them up 1-3 times a day but put them back in the nest and they get use to seeing me and knowing i wont hurt them.

That wouldn't turn me away from trying to contact those people on that list, or racers. They all presumably have large lofts, lots of birds, and therefore will have babies. Racers likely will avoid breeding unless they intend to race those YBs, and therefore may not have squeaker aged birds to give or sell somebody unless it was prearranged, but there's only one way to find out, and that is to call and ask. I started my loft solely using squeakers from racers.

If you can't find squeaker aged birds, there is not much wrong with getting adults as breeders and starting your loft with their offspring, and taking care not to fly the adults until they have settled to your loft and raised 3-4 rounds of squabs. In fact, my own personal experience showed that it is easier to settle and train birds born in your own loft.

On one hand, you can't expect a racer to give you their prized breeding birds, yet on the other hand most racers will not give unproven birds to somebody wanting to start a loft. Most will give people good homers with great potential. I got lucky once and had a racer give me a 2 year old hen that was an extremely proven winner, a bird that would sell at auction as a breeder for around $2,000. Sometimes you get lucky and come across nice people who want to get you into the hobby.
