I have about an acre & a half fenced barn lot, divided into 3 separate lots. Last year I purchased 2 baby razorback piglets & put them in the smallest pen, which is about 60'x60'. Within 3 days they had the ground so rooted up, I got rid of them. I thought I may need the grass in that lot just in case I had to use it for one of my horses. They sure can tear up some dirt!

Had an old cow milking barn, concrete floors.

It was a snap to clean and shoveled out. Their pens were cleaned out twice a day, the stall was 10 x12 and we had three or four pigs in there (NH/Duroc crosses). Never had any issues with the cold except one time, one pig died of heart failure and we didnt catch him in time to take him to the butcher. We could not butcher him ourselves because we were raising them for family members and it had to be inspected and processed. So that pig ended up at the rendering company to come and pick him up.

Hogs are easy to care for but the smell is not too bad unless you let it ripen.
