Our pigs are outdoor pigs. We have three sows and a boar. two Hampshires sows, a Duroc sow, and an Old spot boar. We had 10 babies born last weekend from our oldest hamp sow, Patty. We are expecting two more litters from Pig Pig, our youngest hamp, and Candy, our Duroc sow.

We use electric fencing and they have three pens, each about half an acre. There is a farrowing barn in the two pastures with sows and a smaller shelter for Cletis, our Boar. They keep the barns clean and their pens aren't completely torn up.

I've found that pigs are very clean animals if you keep them in the right pens. wood floor will be fine, just be sure there is lots of bedding. Straw works best I've found.

It helps to put them where you want your garden to be.

I raise rabbits for the auction around here and I made $750 profit last year. My pen was the only pen of rabbits in the auction.
