We had a bit of a pileup in the nest box yesterday. [IMG] Just off camera to the left is the fourth hen, shifting from foot to foot like 'Hurry UP already!'. All that and I only got two eggs. [IMG]

We have 3 nest boxes for 4 hens. They ALL want one specific box. It's not unusual to find more than one in the box at a time! Cute pic of the stacked chickens!

    LOL I've had that happen.

I have 6 nest boxes for 7 hens, and I usually find all of my eggs in one box. I've even seen one chicken be in a nest box to lay, and as soon as she does, another hen will zoom in under her. The first hen had this completely confused look (ok. even more confused than chickens usually look!) over the whole thing. I thought it was hilarious.
