I'm going to need a bigger water bucket

Another warm day, so started out with a swim.

This is them in the same container 6 days ago

At the end I took the others out and let the little one get a bit of free time, seems to be back on track, getting around much better and really eating to catch up, but the biggest lighter couloured one looks like a giant now compared to the small one.

Cheers,

Camo

Loved this, they are so precious! Anxiously waiting for hatch on ours, am really considering putting the goslings with my brown chinese hens. Both girls keep trying to steal the muscovy hens ducklings!

@Camotracey It's amazing how fast they grow with good food lots of sunshine and TLC. Love the pic and video thanks again for sharing.. and great news about the lil one. Remember to keep up with the BY till 10weeks old.

Thanks for all the replies. I think the BY has made a huge difference (so grateful for the advice on this).

@jchny2000 2 mamas at the ready, that's great!

Midnight (our current mother for the ducklings) is a great mum, but not an adopter. I have had one of our chickens raise some ducklings before, it was funny to watch her freak out when they went swimming for the first time:D

Cheers,

Cameron

I bet that was funny.

Midnight your Muscovy has her wings full with her own brood. They are all so precious.

It's amazing how quick they can come back once started on the BY.. so happy your lil one is doing so well.

no pips yet! They are due 10/13 and am so anxious! I have found geese eggs go around 30 days normally, may be the 15th. I am very "no touch" with incubated eggs. I candle at around day 14, and at lockdown.Have learned less handling makes a better hatch in all my bird species. .

@Camotracey those babies have sure grown and are so beautiful.. How the littlest doing other than little.?From here it looks good. I'd be smooching on it all the time. lol

A just a side note, if your where it is very hot that metal roof can get extremely hot and can burn those babies feet. We had a member on the duck thread back in summer wh's ducks got burnt feet from walking on some metal.
