Pilgrim Geese thread

I am looking forward to seeing it! I love seeing the personalities of everyone's birds.

I'm glad you get to enjoy your geese for awhile. Sam sounds very protective.
When did your ganders start showing signs of being protective/aggressive? Just wondering if I knew what to look for I could maybe see it coming for my two. Hopefully without having a female around they won't become the typical ganders. That's not going to stop their hormones though... What age do they become mature or hormonal?

My gander and goose were only 7 months old when they started mating!
I think that pilgrims become adults at around 6 months old.
My gander had another personality after the goose started laying eggs. He was so aggresive and overprotective that I couldn't turn my back to him!

Good to know, thanks everyone! I'm hoping that since we don't have females and eggs they won't become aggressive. Time will tell.

No roads for my boys... I usually don't even let them hang out in the driveway either. I took them for a walk and they seen the hubby working in the driveway and had to check it out.

They can be. My female pekin can put them all to shame though. Most our neighbors know we have ducks. She let's everyone know of her presence. Lol

Is Sammy the white embden? Opie is adorable. Muscovy's are really starting to grow on me. Your place is beautiful too. I wish it would have worked.
