Pimple on chicken?

I found a big pimple on one of my rescued hen's lower back, just above the tail. For some reason it won't let me upload a picture. It's a bit white head, any idea on what it may be?

Sounds like the oil gland to me. Type 'oil gland' in the search bar on the top of the page and do an on site search. It's a normal part of her anatomy - don't try to remove it.
