Pin feathers ?

Hey ! My drake is almost a year old and is getting these crazy pin feathers all over his wings - my other two males (separated ) are the same exact age and don’t have any of this going on- is it because of his deformed beak he’s not able to preen properly ? Anything I should be doing to help him out ?

Are you sure he's not molting. Yikes that bill! You must have to work with him to get enough food down him. Good job.

Maybe ! I’ve just never noticed any of my other ducks getting all new feathers at once. And yes when I get home from work he runs up on the deck and gets his special dinner away from everyone else

sure looks like he had his big molt where he lost his wing feathers and they are growing them back.

He uses his bottom beak and scoops everything up in a deep bowl
