Can Ducks see colours?

Well I once wore a bright orange hoodie to go and see the ducks and they wouldn't come anywhere near me!

They're not fans of orange, so I think they do see colours

It would make sense that ducks, as any other bird would see color. It seems to be so important in the bird mating world. Hense, brightly colored males and all.

I think I read somewhere that they see exactly like humans.....I could be wrong. They do see in color though.

Yes, birds have excellent colour vision. And they can see ultraviolet light too. The 'refresh' rate of their retinas is shorter than ours, meaning that fast moving things look much less blurry to them than they do to us. They can also see much slower movement than us (so something slow-moving that seems to be still to us will look like it's moving to them).

So - their vision is much more impressive than ours (even though ours is pretty good).
