Just need to comment on the bleeding:

One of my Buttercups lost a toenail and it was bleeding pretty good. I didn't do anything to stop it. (it was night time)
She actually bled out overnight in the coop. No other signs of trauma.

I now keep septic powder for the next event.

Oh, and the colorful fowl look terrific!!

That silkie is pretty! I actually don't see too many hawks around here. I wish I had more white chickens.. Or lightly colored ones. Sighh.
