4 eggies pipped! It's another cuckoo maran egg. That's 3 cuckoos and 1 of sonew's blue eggies. I'm thinking the olive eggs are gonna do all their pipping tonight while I sleep.

The cuckoos are closer to the bulb in the bator.

Whats the ideal humidity for the hatch? I know Sonew was explaining that they need the humidity to escape the membrane. I should be taking notes.

Right now my humidity is 75%. However, a cuckoo marans chick just hatched so it's up there. I have all my plugs pulled. I've noticed with mixed eggs and hatches that one breed of egg always hatches differently, i.e. not at the same time as the others. So since the OE's aren't pipped yet, I think they may need a full 21 days. It's day 20 here so tomorrow's the day!

I'm in the middle of cooking ahem....chicken and dumplings...and the window is so fogged up that a photo op hasn't presented itself. As soon as I can, I'll post photos!

5:45 a.m. and 3 chicks out! 2 cuckoo marans and one little EE from Sonews eggs and it's so muffy and cuuuuuteeee! Another of the EE eggs is pipped really good and two more of the cuckoo marans eggs are pipped and should start zipping soon. I'm not 100% sure yet, but it looks like my two cuckoos are cockerals LOL!!
