Pip at the top of the egg.

This is then end of day 20. You can't see very well in the pic, but the egg at the too of the picture has a pip at the right end of the egg. So, it's at the top of the airsack. I have never seen this before. Will this chick be able to hatch itself? What happened? I know that I shouldn't help it yet.

I'm sorry, the pip is at the left end of the egg....

Here's another one, it pipped toward the top of the airsach and now it looks like it is zipping down instead of around.

I had some last year that did that. They hatched by themselves just fine.

They both hatched. It took a bit of extra work, especially for the green egg, but they made it. I think having the humidity at the right place mattered because the egg shell had to crack at weird angle.
