Pip close to pointy end day 19

Thank you, I've wrapped the chick up only thing exposed is its beak and nostrils, feel better knowing it's not going to shrink wrap this way.I used the Qutip and was able to moisten up and loosen the wing feathers that were stuck to its head. Now just waiting, humidity is 65% in the incubator and I put the chick as far away from the fan as possible.

Plopped its head out now, sleeping and seems very weak, still laying on shell. Time will tell.

Still laying on shell, very weak occasionally pops head up, cheeps and back to sleep. I'm really surprised it's still alive honestly. The entire chicks head looks sticky like it has copious amounts of hair spray on. Just boiled sugar water if it's still alive by morning I will give it some. None of the other eggs have hatched but tomorrow evening marks the end of day twenty-one.

Two eggs just hatched, relieved to know they're all not upside down! Five eggs left hopefully they'll hatch too!

Poor chick died some time this morning. I tried to save it. One of my two older chicks was a wrong end pipper and an assisted hatch. She survived but I was faster to react. This chick I tried to let it go on its own and probably waited too long as by the sticky head and wing, it was like the poor chick had been glued. Instead of a trap door pip it actually pipped a hole, I'm thinking that's when the sticky came in. I am happy that two hatched on their own hopefully maybe a couple more will hatch today. I can only have five hens here, so hopefully they're all girls! ;-0

Very sorry about the chick but sometimes things just are not meant to be especially the ones that don't get the hatching right. Hope you have some more healthy ones soon

Thank you! That's a downfall of hatching but the joy of watching a successful hatch and raising your own chicks makes it all rewarding.

And another pipped at pointy end, this one zipped a bit but there is not a gaping hole like the first. A couple of the other eggs are rocking too!

Oh no can't believe you have another at the wrong end what a hatch!!! Think I would be nervous wreck by now.
