Y'all, it's so dark still thanks to daylight saving time and my first thought when I woke up and heard the sound of my incubator running in the room with me was that it was dark enough still that I could candle the eggs this morning... The ones I just set yesterday afternoon. I think I might have a peeking addiction.

I think you early checkers are going to make me addicted to it as well, to the point of candling the serama on day three!

I left them until they were smelly, at which point I could barely take them out, because I was barely holding back

Me too! I'm doing day 10 for removing clears to be sure.

Yeah clears are something I pull late. But... I smell them when I'm candeling, lol. Again not trusting my eyes.

I've been known to sniff my incubator on occasion, and an egg or two during candling as well. Fortunately, I've never had a stink bomb in my incubator.

Somehow it's reassuring to know that's not just me being a weirdo, though

My first two times incubating it got that "incubating eggs" smell, but my last two hatches I've sanitized the eggs before setting and no smell, so that's a plus!
