Well, I already posted Gus III on the last page. He'll be covering a few of the pullets in my red pen:

This guy is unnamed still, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be my green coop male:

Birch is my back-up for if anything happens to the above guy:

And the blue coop will continue to be covered by Wyatt, who is not a cockerel, but is rather a handsome devil, at least in my opinion

The flower girls (and their man) are officially named, so reintroducing:

Buck:

Calla:

Clover:

Delphine (as in delphinium) :

Holly:

Lavender:

And Thistle:

I didn't end up with a Daffodil after all, but there's always next year. If a name doesn't click right for me, I just don't like to use it, and it wasn't clicking with any of these girls. Oh, well. One pen down, two more to go for names!

Speaking of these girls, though, Lavender's been acting a bit off since I moved the five pullets (other than Thistle, who has been living with the blue pen birds out in that coop) out to their pen yesterday, which is starting to concern me. She is walking around, preening, talking, and drinking, but does not seem to have much of an appetite and is dozing more than the others. Keeping an eye on her for now for lack of anything else I can do for her, but hopefully she adjusts to her new surroundings soon like the others have.





In other news, the eggs are in lock down! I repeat, the eggs are in lock down!! ~3 days until the first babies of the year are here!!

Yeah, this is my hope as well. No one else is having a problem, so I'm hoping there isn't any kind of actual illness involved and that she's just a bit more sensitive to the stress of the move and will start feeling better once she's used to her new surroundings.

Hehe, looked at mine and one of the bantam eggs rolled an inch and a half from where it was yesterday! Excitement abounds!

I think all but like 2 or 3 of mine have drawn down, but I don't hear any peeping yet or anything, so I don't think we've internally pipped just yet. I'm expecting to start hearing peeps by tomorrow, though
