I got things figured out, I think!

Okay, Baby 1, who I thought had black specks, I think I was seeing shadows on it--there are only 2 babies and they're the 2 I have gotten pictures of!

Oops! So Baby 1 is the one with the dark beak, Baby 2 has the light-colored beak.

Baby 2 has a dark wash over its feet, but is light-skinned otherwise, including the bottoms of its feet. I think either Baby 2 came from an egg that wasn't Marge's, or it just happened to inherit less color from mom and dad. My suspects are one of the Barred Rocks or one of the Speckled Sussex, as they are the only ones actually laying whose eggs are remotely similar to Margie's. Either way, Marge is definitely protective, I don't think she cares if that baby is hers or not.

I took just a quick peek at the other eggs. One has pipped through the shell, and one has pipped into the air cell, not out of the shell yet. The one that's in the air cell got NOISY when I moved it! Lots of spunk in there!! I'm a little bit concerned at how quiet the other pipper is, but I'm letting things go for now. The fifth egg still appears dead like it did a few days ago, but again I left it just in case.
I got the first real pictures with my good camera of Babies 1 and 2 tonight!! Brace for the cuteness!!
Baby 1! Look at his precious widdle feet!!

Baby 1 has attitude, just like momma! Here's about the cutest little grumpy face ever!!
Baby 2, the possible mix. Something about the way he looks really makes me lean toward it not being Margie's egg!
So yellow and fluffy...

And one last one that is so adorable I can barely stand it!! Margie and Baby 1. "Um, Momma and me are trying to sleep, nosy human!!"
Such an attitude!
