They're so cute! And the silkie chick is strangely gorgeous!

Not that a mix would have been a bad thing, but I was pretty sure I only picked Margie's eggs!

I couldn't sleep, so I have better pictures of Baby 3 now, too!
I'm so excited that I got a dark baby out of this! I wondered if it would happen based on the genetics, and I guess I confirmed it!!

Mama's being stingy, so no pictures of it yet, but it's white like the first two and its beak color is kind of in between the colors of the other two.
I've got to get a section of the coop set up so that mama can get her babies out and teach them how to eat and drink!!
Chickens are characters aren't they?
Bunch of silly girls! Reuben hasn't come up to see them yet, can't wait until he does! His reaction ought to be amazing!!
So she is sitting on her babies in her little section of the coop, clucking to them and keeping them warm.
I think Baby 4 is still getting its land legs and that's why she's waiting still. I put a little food next to her and she ate it like she was starved, and the oldest three babies got a mini-lesson in eating. Baby 4 is standing and bobbling around and getting fluffier now, so it shouldn't be long before lessons really begin!
Mama's not liking all the attention, though!

Babies? What babies?
Benjamin was one of the original names I was considering for Reuben, and Marka is a word related to the name Margaret, so I thought that would be fitting for two of them. Gotta decide which, though! And figure out the rest of them, of course!
