Finally!
Ivy is taking a break from being broody!
I went out this morning and she was already out of the coop. I have been removing her fluffiness from the roost everyday since she became broody. I had my doubts that it could be true. But, did my normal morning routine and went back out to check on everything and tidy up. At first I didn't see her and was like - here we go again. Checked the nest box that she likes - nope. Checked the other nest boxes - nope. Looked up to the eaves - nope. Finally spotted her in the run.
I also witnessed another hen grooming her and her not running away or growling.
Yesterday she only had water until late afternoon when I gave her feed. I thought maybe she was just too comfortable in her broody cage. I don't know if that is what pushed her out of it or she just woke up and was like - nah I'm good.
Some things I've noticed over these past 2 (or 3) weeks:

Some things I've noticed over these past 2 (or 3) weeks:
- She does not get along with the top muscovy girl, Beanie. They rear at each other and are ready to duel. Now, I wonder if she will do the same since she's not broody? Beanie is broody right now - but she's kind of mean no matter what.
- She sometimes tidbits. I observed her doing it when there wasn't anything to tidbit about. I had thrown some grubs down and she wasn't getting any so to me it looked like she was trying to get the others away from the actual food.
- She has a wonky wing. It sticks out sometimes when she doesn't adjust it.
- Her toenails needed trimmed and while trimming I noticed she's got a lot of mutations going on. While I know silkies have extra toes, some of hers have claws.
- I watched Lemon (my bantam cochin) chest bump her.

Now if I could convince my knuckleheads. I'm still trying to convince Opal that she does not need to hatch and rear another batch of chicks this year. Meanwhile, Amaretto is hot and cold on it, and now Peanut Butter is starting to make low clucks like she wants to go broody again.

 Crazy!!
 Crazy!!
Something about them going broody really ticks off the other birds in the flock.

Augusta, as a tribute to her late father, Gus II. Speaking of her, well, here's today's picture of the day number 73 of Gusta being nosy again
