Okay, well I peeked again last night and, uh. Every single egg except the first Judy egg is developing.
I only set the extras (the non-Judy eggs) because I didn't think very many would develop in the first place!!

Lol, that's why I set 50. Because they were countertop eggs and a few fresh ones. None over two weeks old. But my luck all but 3 will hatch.Okay, well I peeked again last night and, uh. Not that I need more chicks myself but if you have too many Judy booties hatch, I will sell off a few of my chicks to make room in my coopWe're gonna be swimming in chicks, the both of us!!
I thankfully didn't set that many, but I have a lot more developing than I really wanted to hatch just yet--mainly because most are eggs from birds that are probably going to be culls from my breeding program. On the plus side, I can split the keeper eggs from the non-keeper eggs and just sell the extras if a lot of them do end up hatching. View attachment 3772457
Judy booties! Here I come!!!! See you in about 2 or 3 daysHaha, the Judy-booties are actually the keepers!
But if you happened to be in the neighborhood, I'm sure I could find some extra Judy booties to hop in your car on the way through...![]()
I should probably get more EEs for my flock. My youngest are going to be 5 years old this yearToo bad you aren't closer!
In other news, two of my boys who have lived together peacefully all this time apparently decided they needed to settle who was boss all of the sudden. They seem to be at peace with one another now, but they sure look like they had a heck of a brawl! Of course, it's the only two in this pen that I'm still deciding between for keeping as a backup, and now they're bald and beaten up. Big dummies
