This guy has been like this for 12 hrs. I had to open the incubator to get the first chick who almost fell in the reservoir so I brushed away the shell he had broken and dampened the membrane because it looked dry and sticky. The humidity is at 72 and the temp is at 100. Hoping he is okay?

If the membrane is no longer milky white with firm veins running through it I'd break part of the shell and remove the membrane so the chick can get out. A sticky membrane would prevent the chick turning within the shell to hatch.

She and another were out when I got up. Had to peel half the egg back, then she fought the rest of the way out after I went to bed.
