Pipped near top I am not sure if I should assist?

Never seen one do that but if the bill is where you can see it then it’s through the membrane can you see any blood vessels?
Not from this angle.

@DuckyDonna you just recently hatched ducklings did you see the ducklings chew on the membrane?
i don't think so but here is what I did. I tore up the shell on the air cell end. It was a BIG hole and I thought I was done but I wasn't. Then with the help of @WVduckchick I nfound out my baby's head was at the other end so I started carefully breaking the shell towards that. It was scary but I did it. I got a bit of bleeding but I finally got to the bill and released that. Let it rest for awhile and absorb more veins and yolk, then I started picking and picking toward the head. Go slow! If you see big veins don't crash through them. Patience is the big thing. My Tiny baby hatched and was a happy little thing.

Wow!! So nervous!! You are so brave! Congratulations on saving your precious baby!! The bill is free. He is just sitting in his opening nom nom nom on a flappy piece of dried membrane.. I tried to post a video here but i dont think it will let me. Gonna give it a try...but @WVduckchick how long until i go in to assist taking off shell? Do i start where his bill is at near where he pipped and move toward the pointy end or do i start chipping the shell towards the big end? Also do i put it under a brooder light to keeo it warm? Do i do it by holding it in a rag ? I just want to be sure i keep it moist while picking away at it if i do so? Thank you
