I would pretty much when we move to my grandpa's place.

Technically it's our second house since he signed it over to us, but my grandpa is trying to control everything.

A few days ago I went to the best garden centre. It was a bit run-down but there was a dog, 3 ducks and 3 roosters running free.
The owner says the roosters had to be separated from the girls... There was a huge pen full of hens and 1 little baby barred rock.
Then she wanted to give me a rooster... Obviously I couldn't travel with a rooster so I said no.
Next year I might take my incubator to sardinia and hatch some silkies for her since she wanted some. New excuse to hatch something!!!

I was checking wattles..

Ok.. so on nugget 3, little one, the wattles haven't turned pink, but are starting to dangle but ive kind of accepted that nuggets 1-3 look so similarly, they are probably male. Nugget 2 has the brightest, but nugget 1s are definitely pink. All hopes are now on Big Girl.

They are burning through chick crumble, so this morning i started mixing it 50/50 with the big girls feed, which is 20% protein, mini pellets. They ate it up. It is not a layer feed, so no extra calcium.

My 3 chicks ate 5kg of chick food in less than 3 weeks.
Keep me updated in a few weeks about the nuggets
