Pips! I have pips!(4/12 new pics of babies outside!)

We just rescued a black snake aka rat snake from our bird netting. You do have to watch out for infection so definitely watch this baby closely. I just read up on these because we were all holding this one then I thought maybe I should read up on them. They have a bacteria in their mouths because of the things they eat, (rats, mice, lizard, bats, birds, squirrels, etc) and the info said that if bitten make sure you cleanse the area well and use neosporin for infection prevention.

Its also supposed to be a very painful bite.

crap... now I am at work and can't tend to it. Seemed fine this morning. I will clean it again tonight, but I couldnt even see the bite this morning so maybe it will be ok.

Hopefully it's just a scratch! I'm amazed at how resiliant these babies are.

My little hooligans now have four ducklings in the next brooder over. DH was wondering if we could combine them.

I showed him the itty bitty ducklings peeping sweetly and snuggling and then the 3 gosling hooligans fighting over a turnip green like dogs with a bone. He shook his head and said "nevermind."

lol. My goslings are so HUGE. They literally FELL out of the half shell and I couldnt imagine how they ever were in there. They unfolded and it was truly amazing to see.

New Duckie, Crazy story, but that is terrible that you killed the snake. It is just doing what God told it to...

Cute goslings, everyone! My little guy (Thanks SM) is adorable aswell, at a whopping one day old!

So glad the little one made it! My three hooligans just attacked lettuce like they were starving. I'm afraid my last two goose eggs just aren't going to do anything. I"ll just be happy with the three I have.

How is your baby, newduckie?
