Day 6 Update:

I bought a flashlight. They had some that were brighter but got exponentially more expensive. This one is much better than what I had at home so it will at least be an improvement.

Also I caught the critters hanging out together when I looked out the window to check on them. They are buddies.

I set the eggs one week ago today. I now own a flashlight. I think today might be a good day to take a peek and see what might be developing .

I always go into my bathroom with all the eggs and definitely can see life in a black room.

Oh crap sorry those are Broody eggs.
Nope I wait till she comes off to stretch and entice her with treats. I wear a thick hoodie and make darkness to Candle over the nest quickly...

Gotcha. She is getting used to the routine of me picking her up daily to steal the egg my Ameraucana sneaks in and lays each morning while I'm at work, but I do like to think she'll voluntarily get off the nest at some point though.

Steal a few from under her tonight once it's dark out and candle them right there real quick.

Photo 4 & 5 are the same egg. All have started developing. I’m concerned about the egg in the third photo. It really was not like the others. There didn’t seem to be a central spot that the veins come from and it seemed to move different as I turned it in my hand.

The actual embryo could be sitting right on the edge of the air cell. If it is it might be hard to see until it is bigger.

I have a thousand lumin flashlight. I tried to use a less bright flashlight and was very sad at my results.

I can see better in real life than it shows in the photos. I’m still pretty excited to see development! I think I will look again in another week.
