Sadly only one chick was born successfully out of a dozen eggs, we are looking to purchase baby chicks and introduce them to the broody hen to make company for the future generation of chickens (we do not have time for any online ordered chicks to arrive unfortunately we need our single chicken to grow with the others)

Currently many farm stores in my area (Ohio) are selling fall chicks. Fewer breeds than in the spring, but still several breeds. Yesterday I was at one farm store and they had 3 choices of egglaying breeds, and an additional 2 breeds sold out, and also meat chicks. So, call some farm stores. Alternatively, CL or on fb might find a homesteading group or similar and might be able to find young chicks through that.

No animal sales on fb. However, there are farm groups, homesteader groups, etc where one can make connections to get animals.

CL does have a section to sell animals.
