planning my garden

I had a couple of Mexican Parrots in my pawnshop years ago.

They were such trouble that I gave them to a Pet Store. The Owner of the Pet Store said that I shouldn't have fed them so much sunflower seeds because that made them "Hyper-Active".

Anyone know anything about this?

beats me....

I have some problems with wild birds eating the seeds but they usually are not a big problem until very late in the season. By that time I have already feed most of the seed heads to the chickens. I do not cover them. Next year I might try hanging some aluminum pie pans around the sunflowers to see if it helps scare away the wild birds.
